About me
Maria Saltanova
Common objects and ordinary articles wich surround me daily have always been the main source of inspiration for me. I try to endow ordinary articles with certain individual features. Therefore impersonal familiar things gain individuality. I strive to cope with the task by using color, texture and distortion of proportions. These are my favorite devices in sculpting. Slab technique and hand sculpting are dominating in my work. I use throwing technique also.
